  • Jan 23, 2016  Every serious (or even casual) gamer knows that when it comes to a choice between a Mac or PC computer, there's no question PCs are the better gaming machines. Not only that, but these days most games are designed for PCs, which makes playing them on Macs even more undesirable.
  • Dec 08, 2017 Mac gaming is dead. Right now, there are just 4,500 games to play on Steam for MacOS. That’s more than zero, but as a means of comparison, it’s around the number of PC games that will hit Steam this year alone. While gaming on Apple’s iOS platform keeps growing, gaming on MacOS isn’t in good shape.

May 07, 2013  If you only want the computer to play games, buy a PC. They are cheaper and have got better graphic cards than a Mac, so you will get better performance. Moreover, one of the worst things of some Macs are the graphic card, and that's why Macs aren't recommended for gaming. Apr 24, 2011  Why are MacBook Pros bad for gaming? How are PC's better? So in terms of pricing: windows desktop windows laptop mac desktop mac laptop. That is why mac especially the mac laptops are the WORST choice for gaming. Because a $1000 mac laptop = $500 windows laptop = $300 desktop lol. Mar 18, 2015  Gaming on a Mac may be more restrictive than with a desktop PC running Windows, but if you choose the right Mac hardware, and are willing to pay for it, you’ll be able to play most games without.

I recently purchased the base model iMac Pro which includes Radeon Vega 56 GPU. I am running Windows 10 in Boot Camp with the latest updates and have installed the latest drivers from Apple, but the performance when trying to play games in Boot Camp is pretty poor. For example, when playing Overwatch, I can't even maintain 30 FPS regardless of the settings I choose. Reading other non-Apple forums, it seems others are running into similar issues. It seems the drivers just haven't been optimized yet. Anyone else experiencing the same?
