It doesn’t matter if your video is half an hour long if the viewers click off after two minutes. Make game videos on mac. Good marketing will, in turn, lead to more engagement, so try to create titles and thumbnails that attract people to click on your video. Generally, around 10-15 minutes is a good length for most videos, but you shouldn’t worry too much about stretching your video out and should focus more on overall quality.RELATED:Titles, tags, and thumbnails are also essential, as they are the packaging and advertising for your video.

IS the mac of the friend of the same model and year? If not, then bear in mind that various macbooks will have totally different thermal properties. For example newest Macbook models heat up significantly less than models from 3-5 years ago.

Dec 15, 2016 The graphics card is much too weak. The Sims 3 isn't recommended for MacBooks because it makes them overheat. And one last thing to take into account, the Sims 3 can only use 2 GB of memory on OS X, which is still OK for the base game but too low with add-ons; it can use up to twice as much on Windows. The graphics card (which is an 8800M GTS 512 mb) doesn't get above 70 Celsius even during intense games which cause my CPU to overheat and reset the laptop. I may be wrong, and if I am, correct me.

In any case if you feel that your mac overheats, and if you are under warranty, go to Apple Store and let them figure that out. If, not going to service is still a good idea: the point would be to reapply thermal paste in key positions.

It will run, and it will run hot though should not overheat. My wife used to play Sims 3 on her 2012 Mac Air, which is probably a pretty comparable experience since it also has lower requirements. It ran pretty hot, but didn’t crash or lag too bad. Everything ran beautifully and quickly, so I'm hoping Sims 4 will be a breeze too. Edit: I fully retract my original statement. Installed the game on my laptop, and not only does it /not/ overheat, the fan doesn't even come on (no more than it would just browsing the web). I am beyond impressed, especially considering this is a 4 year old laptop. My computer is a laptop, and I haven't noticed it heating up at all when I'm playing the sims. On an odd note, I started up one of my Sunset Valley towns, and it was acting considerably faster. It's still pretty sluggish and laggy, but its better then my other game. I'm starting to think its just my towns in Bridgeport with all these problems. Mar 19, 2020 The premise is the same, yet the Sims 4 creates more depth and introduces new mechanics, features, and vastly improved graphics. Speaking of graphics, this is a game that looks surprisingly good on a high-end Mac at the highest settings. But now I can't play games on my computer anymore. They all cause it to make the overheating noise, and I get freaked out and have to immediately quit my game and shut my computer down, because I know that things can turn really bad if your computer overheats. But I still really want to play games on my computer, especially the Sims 4.

Another issue might be that perhaps your mac is full of dirt. This also has potential to cause overheats.

Another thing is that you should not cover the ventilation points behind your screen, and using macbook on soft surfaces (which will cover the vents) is also a bad idea.
And note that unibody macs do not have any ventilation holes in the bottom case. On one hand this offers some protection against water getting from below, on the other hand this requires keeping in mind that disturbances in cooling (such as dirt, old thermal paste) will make overheats more severe.
