Are you ready to make a difference and save lives? Coast Guard Helicopter is a challenging, rescue helicopter flying simulation game where you play the role of a brave chopper pilot who has to rescue stranded swimmers from the open sea. Using retractable ropes, good steady flying, and nerves of steel, your goal is to safely pull the distressed people from the water, and transport them safely back to your helipad. This is certainly no leisurely mid-afternoon training exercise! It’s a series of daring professional missions where you have to contend with real danger - limited helicopter space, tricky flying conditions, and large obstructions. If you manage to pull off these dangerous assignments, you’ll be hailed as a Hero! But probably, you'll just dust yourself down, and shrug off all of the adulation by humbly saying that you were simply doing your job to the best of your ability.
This surprisingly intense and action-packed aircraft piloting game requires supreme concentration, solid keyboard controls, and swift piloting under pressure. Your multi-tasking skills are called into play as you have to lower the rescue ropes whilst also keeping the helicopter steady in the air. This activity could also be a good exercise for any young people out there who are interested in an awesomely dedicated career working in the ‘rescue services’ (coast guard, life guard, and fire department etc). This RPG game obviously may not feature the same intensity and pressure that those bravest of men and women face on the front line, but some of the attributes that you must possess in bucket-loads are all required here – high levels of concentration and determination, immense courage, and an overwhelming desire to help people for the greater good! To everyone in this world who is a member of a Rescue Squad of some form - A Big Thank You!

How to Play: In each of the 15 progressively difficult levels, your objective is to rescue all of the stranded swimmers from the ocean, and carefully fly them back to the safety of your helipad. Use the Arrow Keys or the WASD Keys to control your chopper: Up Arrow / W = Ascend; Down Arrow / S = Descend; Left & Right Arrows / A &D = Move chopper to left & right. Once your helicopter is positioned above a stranded swimmer, press your E key to lower the rescue rope from the bottom of your chopper. Once this rope is within the grasp of the swimmer, a blue circular timer appears. Once this timer completely fills up (full circle), the swimmer clings to the rope. Hot your Q Key to retract (pull up) the rope. Make sure to retract the rope entirely before flying off (be certain of success before assuming it!). The stranded swimmer only becomes a 'rescuee' once he disappears safely into the helicopter.
IMPORTANT: Depending on which chopper you select at the start, you may only be able to pick up one or two swimmers at a time. Once the swimmers (1 or 2) are on board, fly back to your helipad starting point, and GENTLY land in order to complete their rescue. If you land too roughly, the chopper explodes, and the level is failed. Likewise, if you crash into the water or into any lighthouses / buildings, you have to replay the level. Once all swimmers are safely rescued, you progress to the next level. You are given a score at the end of each level, and good performances are rewarded with Upgrade Points. You can use these points to purchase valuable upgrades to your chopper such as increased capacity, and increased speed.
Keep an eye on your altitude gauge (in the top left corner), and your longitude gauge (along the top of the game screen). The Green Arrow beside your longitude gauge directs you to the nearest swimmer. You can see how many swimmers still require rescue in the top right corner of the play zone. In the bottom left corner, you can see how many choppers / lives you have remaining. Good luck up there!
